Photo by @annaazarov Kris Kovacs is a Birmingham (UK)–born, Los Angeles–based award-winning composer, producer, and songwriter working across film, television, video games, and trailers. His work has been featured in campaigns for Epic Games, Arkane Studios, Bethesda Softworks, HBO, Disney, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, Netflix, MTV, and The CW.
He composed and produced the theme for the Deathloop trailer (Arkane Studios / Bethesda Softworks), featuring Canadian artist Fjora, which earned two Hollywood Music in Media Award nominations and won a Clio Award. His work also includes the reimagining of “What’s Up?” for Amazon Prime’s Welcome to the Blumhouse, which received multiple honors including a Bronze Clio for Use of Music in Trailers/Teasers and Best Musician at the New York Independent Cinema Awards.
Under his artist project SWWARMS, Kris co-created “Runamok” (with Backchat), featured by Epic Games, which was awarded a Bronze Clio. His productions with Ellie Innocenti have been used in global campaigns for HBO, Ford, Jeep, Olay, Hyundai, and Bally Sports, the latter earning an Emmy nomination for Best Short Sports Promo.
Known for his aggressive cinematic production style, Kris blends hard-hitting trailer sound design with modern electronic elements and orchestral scale, creating bold, high-impact music for global audiences.
